A press release from the Office of our Associate Minister of Social Development & Employment, Tariana Turia, tells us – in effect – she is doing what she is paid to do.
It is headed: “Turia to carefully consider family violence report”.
The first sentence says:
The latest report on family violence will be carefully considered by Tariana Turia who is responsible for the Government’s response to addressing and reducing the impacts of family violence.
So who else might she consider it?
And if the heading and intro reflect the office spin doctor’s idea of “news”, what does this tell us about Turia’s treatment of all the other reports that have found their way to her in-tray.
